UAE Desert Safari offers Al Ain City Tour from Dubai as well as Sharjah. Our professional guides will provide information on the rich history and cultural background of Al Ain making it an enlightening and enjoyable trip for you.
The Al Ain city tour begins with you being picked up from your residence or hotel. After a 1 hour 30 minute drive from Dubai, we reach the beautiful city of Al Ain. The first stop on our tour is the Al Ain Zoo which attracts thousands of tourists from within UAE every day.
The Al Ain Zoo is set near the base of Jebel Hafeet, UAE’s second largest peak. The zoo is spread over 900 hectares and you get to see the animals in an environment that is very similar to their natural habitat.
There are over 4,000 animals in the Al Ain Zoo, 30 percent of which are considered endangered. This is quite a unique experience because you get to see animals that you might not have seen before. Throughout the park you will find plenty of picnic spots, playgrounds and cafeterias.
Interactive activities for kids like camel riding and giraffe feeding are also available. There is a special area in the zoo called the Elezba Petting Zoo where you and your family can play with and feed the camels, llamas, goats, sheep, ducks and chicken. The zoo also has a safari park and a learning center known as the Sheikh Zayed Desert Learning Center.
The next stop is the hot spring water which is in the Green Mubazzarah Park just 10 minutes away from the Al Ain Zoo. This hot stream of water flows from the Jebel Hafeet and once you dip your feet into it, you feel its therapeutic qualities.
Once we are done with the hot spring water, Al Ain city bus tour heads towards the famous camel market. There you can see thousands of camels and how they are traded. You will have plenty of opportunities to take pictures of this one of a kind camel market.
The next and last stop on the Al Ain city tour will be at the Al Ain Museum which is the oldest museum in UAE. The museum has preserved ancient artifacts that date back to the sixth millennium B.C. You will find artifacts such as arrowheads, flint tools and Iron Age pottery vessels. There will also be photographs of Al Ain and Liwa portraying how the region was developed.
The Al Ain city tour at famous places also includes free lunch at a nice restaurant in the city. After an entertaining tour of Al Ain, you are driven back to your residence or hotel by 3.00-3.30 p.m.
